Our Experience

We lead the industry in overseas operations experience and our key personnel have experience in places such as Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Colombia, Greece, Honduras, Iraq, Liberia, Montenegro, Niger, Panama, Qatar, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Yemen and Yugoslavia.  Our people always get the mission done and “are never sick as sea."

We recruit premier personnel who have backgrounds in intelligence, special operations, law enforcement and diplomacy from the U.S., the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth nations.  Sterling assets have years of experience with inter-agency and Combined/Joined international operations, as well as working closely with host nation governments and the indigenous populace.

For example, Sterling International's founder and president was the U.S. government’s contribution to the Troika (Portugal, Russia, and the United States) Peace initiative in Angola for the UNITA (The National Union for the Total Independence of Angola) Disarmament, Demobilization, Reintegration & Repatriation (DDRR) process. In that capacity he provided a detailed inventory of nearly 20,000 SA/LW’s.  He also traveled throughout Angola negotiating and inventorying weapons caches turned in by warring factions.  In 2004, he provided assistance to the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia, Liberia, by inventorying another 15,000 SALWs turned into UNMIL (United Nations Mission in Liberia) from warring factions, Movement for Democracy in Liberia (MODEL), the Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy (LURD), and the Government of Liberia (GOL).
